Menion – Out of Sound/Out of Silence
Menion released this short piece of work in June this year, my guess is perfect for the summertime up in the northern hemisphere. He plays guitar with a wonderful tone and airy sound that warms the room when you listen to it. Couple this with electronics and ambience and you have a nice thing going on. The album reminds me of Japanese electronic composers in its mission, to calm, to lull, to be blissful and it certainly does achieve this. The cover work appears to be of a Sakura tree in full bloom, which lends itself to that eastern feel. My advice? Put this on to relax, it will help with that.
