Poco Tiger – Pear Tree

The self titled track introduces Poco Tiger with dreamy synthesizers and vocals, lazily delivered but suiting the sound before melding into second track Blatchington Road. One genre that the duo don’t throw down on their bandcamp page is ‘pop’ and I feel a distinct amount of pop in the slightly off kilter tunes on this short record, most notably on Postman with the bouncy piano and panned drums at the beginning all meshing into a strange out-of-this-world 70’s art feel. I don’t really know how to describe this record well – but I am enjoying it, and that should be enough reason for you to head to the bandcamp page and stream / download it, don’t you think?
