Parov Stelar – Kiss Kiss EP

Recently there was a vinyl/record exhibition here in Adelaide and of course i went, both days it was on, because im crazy and wanted to spends da moneys. And spend da moneys i did because i found four Parov Stelar vinyl’s at the thing. Each of these finds gave me a heart attack simply because i wasn’t expecting to find any.

This little gem here is probably one of my favourite Stelar EP’s, its so laid back, so chilled out. The A side (for you oldies) contains Kiss Kiss, a song heavy on percussion with subtle hints of brass instrumentation that flows seamlessly with a meandering piano line. The second track ‘supereight’ pulses with playful keyboard and piano lines ushering in a rollicking bassline to make you feel like your in some sort of super sophisticated club of the future. The B-side offers a simply divine jazz piano beat and a remix of supereight to get your feet jumping. Wonderful stuff.
